About

A singer from the age of 7, Nivi Canela has starred in theatre, film, television, and cabarets in across the United States.

Nivi was a featured artist in PUNK BLACK Fest 2022 and the Union City MultiArts Festival. They have performed at such historic venues as the Jerry Orbach Theater (also known as The Theater Center), HERE Arts Center,  the Provincetown Playhouse, and the AllWays Lounge and Cabaret.

A graduate of Columbia University, New York University, Grace Theatre Workshop, and the New York School of Burlesque, Nivi is known for producing Naked Broadway, a musical theatre cabaret showcasing BIPOC performers, their Ms. Bergenline eZine, and Happy Song Time, a musical improv series.

In addition to performing, they have taught theatre, writing, and creative healing workshops for over a decade.
